Update life on tour

Hi everyone!
I am still enjoying my life out here on tour in South Africa. I finished my last tournament with a 69 (-1). I played well but made 2 mistakes which cost me a double and a bogey. At least I made some birdies to still make a good score. The previous rounds were not good, I was hitting the ball okay but not close enough. I couldn’t manage to putt well on the greens because of the speed, they were really slow.

To be honest, I’m not happy with the scores. My ball striking deserves much more than these scores, but that’s not what it’s all about. I struggled with staying in the moment and wasn’t relaxed enough, too much energy got lost struggling with that.

But I am happy to see that it’s really clear what I need to work on. So now I have two more events to keep all these components working together. If I am able to do that, I have a really good chance of winning a tournament. But before that my focus will be at the bigger picture, becoming better and gaining some experience.

Two days ago I flew from Durban to Cape Town. We are playing two events here, the Cape Town Ladies Open at Royal Cape and if I finish top 30 in the OoM I will play the Investec SA Women’s Open at Westlake Golf Club. I am now ranked 14th so I have a good chance of playing my first LET event this year. I'm really excited for these upcoming tournaments.
